Finally Caught Up

So I've been trying to catch up since I got back from vacation a couple weeks ago and it's just been nearly impossible. Finally, today...I am completely caught up on the blogs I follow.  I'm sorry I was a bad blogger buddy...no more of that.

I am officially old.  I found my first gray hair!  GASP!  It's right up front...in my bangs.  Oh...I suppose it's possible there's a gray hair mixed in with the rest of it towards the back but I did a thorough search this weekend and only came up with the one.  I haven't plucked it.  I fear the old wives' tale is true and if I pull it, ten more will grow in its place.  I didn't run out and dye it either.  I always had a theory that if I dyed my hair often enough, I would never know when I turned gray.  Alas, that plan has failed.  So I'm still debating what I'm going to do with it.  But it's official.  I turned 31 and I turned old.  *SIGH*

Special shout out to Ronnie!  Not only did she get a job this weekend (Congratulations sweetie) but she texted me twice since Friday to help me stay on track.  You're the best!

Weekend was good, albeit we did virtually NOTHING.  But after the first week of school and it being hot as balls around here, we didn't WANT to do much of anything.  Seriously...school starting should indicate the return of cooler weather, yet we're breaking heat records around here.  WTF???

So what's the plan for this week?  Well, it's pretty basic and goes back to how I used to do things when I was much more successful than I am now:

There's my list of No's:
NO Starbucks
NO carbonation (easy one but I still list it because it will always be a temptation)
NO fast food
NO eating lunch out during the workweek.

The my list of DO's:
DO work out at least 4 times this week.
DO drink at least 64 oz's of water every day
DO go to bed at a decent hour
DO resist urges for sweet treats

I've got 1 lb to lose this week and lose it I will.

My 2 year bandiversary is coming on 8/18 so expect a long winded post about that.  :)

It has taken me 3 hours to write this post as work has blown up so I leave you with a DEMotivator to get us started this week.

Glad you're all caught up! And honey, you 'old'? Talk to me when you're 49 and there are grays in your eyebrows *and* on your upper lip!!

I love your "DO" and "NO" lists - great way to keep on track for the week!

You are cracking me up - I've been getting grey's since I was 18!!!

I am jumping on your NOs and DOs for the week...I want to see if I can break the 1lb mark as well. Losing less a lb always makes me mad!

I dye them so I don't notice...except when those pesky things pop up in my eyebrows---WTF is that!

Sometimes "nothing" weekends are the best kind.

If one grey hair means "getting old" then I must be ancient. I have a head full of them...that's why my hairdresser is one of my bff's :)

Getting back into blog world since my vacation ended has been rough... I feel like I can't get caught up! I also have so much I want to say and can barely form into a post, I am out of practice :D

Also: I have been gray since I was 16... wah!!! So now, at 30, gray hair doesn't actually make me feel old... I've had 14 years to deal with it, hehehe

I think that old wives tale is TRUE. I have dozens of greys in my hair. Drives me nuts. I always pluck, though I know I need to just go ahead and dye. Sigh.

Great goals for the week! I think I'll try and give up my once a week Diet Dr. Pepper, too. Just for fun. :)
