Short Week, Long Goals

So the weekend.  The booze got me this weekend.  I got to knock off work a little early and hit up a happy hour with a coworker on Friday.  Then Saturday was spent doing some shopping with the kids and Hubby and then got a last minute invite to a comedy club.  We saw Gary Valentine (the cousin from King of Queens).  He was pretty funny...not hilarious but funny and the tickets were free so I'll take it.  It was at a pretty cool little venue downtown that I had been meaning to check out.Drank too much, didn't eat much at all and woke up seriously hurting from all of it.
Sunday morning was spent seriously lazing and then we went swimming in the afternoon.  Monday (Happy Labor Day!), we went to the mall, walked around, spent $75 at the Disney Store (can't seem to NOT buy anything at that place), more swimming, kids' homework and there ya go.  Nope...not one workout the whole time.  I hit 3 workouts last week which was good enough.  I don't feel too badly about that but it's time to kick it up a notch.  Going through a little bit of a detox this week since this weekend's eating was not good.  AT. ALL.  I enjoy having a checklist for accountability so here we go.

List of NO's:
No fast food.
No carbonation.
No Starbucks.
No pasta, rice or bread.
No chocolate, candy or sweets.
No juice, milk or sugary drinks.

List of WILL's:
I will work out at least 4 times this week.
I will limit the amount of processed foods I eat.
I will go to sleep at a decent hour.
I will be kind to myself.
I WILL stay on plan.

Random Thought:  I bought a hair straightener for the first time in my entire life over the weekend.  I'm kinda digging my smoother 'do.  Will have to take a pic for y'all to see.  It DOES involve me waking up RIGHT when my alarm goes off in the morning (so long snooze button) but the humidity this year has just made my hair frizz out like crazy so I had to do something as I was debating shaving my head but decided to try this first.
Spin and weights tonight and I am so ready for it!

Great list of NO & WILL. The two should fuel each other; don't eat the NO stuff, should empower the WILLs to happen and vice versa.

Random factoid; everyday American's purchase 5-million items related to Mickey Mouse.

Can't wait to see the hair! Living on the East Coast my hair goes frizz monster any time there is humidity...which is all the time! It's my best friend. :)

This week will be great, I would say good luck but you don't need it!

I want to see the picture of your hair!! I've been straightening my hair too for the past 6 months. My hairdresser always yells at me for it!! LOL she says it damages my hair but I do it anyway. Hey--at least it's not a bag of Reeses!

Good accountability list (it looks like mine often does!).

I've been straightening my hair for years and FINALLY just stopped and let myself be my natural curly self. I only straighten for super special occasions now!

Can't wait to see the pic of your hair! I straighten my hair at night, so in the morning all I have to do is touch it up. I don't think I am actually capable of getting uo the first time I hear the alarm :)

I want hair pics too!

Yay for comedy clubs. Holiday weekends are the same the world over. Too much naughty food and too much alcohol. Good job they don't come around too often. xx
